Volunteer Positions Available

Deadline 5pm Friday 12 April 2013

People with Disability Australia (PWDA) requires the assistance of between 2-4 self-directed and pro-active volunteers to distribute two anti-violence posters throughout the geographic area of the City of Sydney boundaries.

These posters need to be distributed to a range of different services, offices and drop off points for display on noticeboards. A distribution list is provided. Volunteer team members will need to be able to approach and engage with a range of different office staff  with these posters to place on noticeboards and other public display opportunities.

It is anticipated this will take one full day or could be spread over a longer time period depending on logistics and availability of volunteers. PWDA can provide a vehicle.

At least one member of the team will need to have a drivers' license.

Duties include

  • ability to liaise effectively and engage with a range of different office staff,
  • act cohesively as part of a small team,
  • plan distribution logistics and
  • promote and provide more information about PWDA if required.

Lunch and petrol costs will be covered by PWDA.

Volunteers will need to attend a group briefing session (approx. 1-2 hours) on Tuesday 16 April 2pm. If you are interested please contact Craig Andrews on 1800 422 016 or via email pwd@pwd.org.au
