This short course is designed for anyone who knows the word disability, but wants or needs to understand what it means beyond wheelchairs and white canes.
This one day course is for anyone who may need to regularly communicate or work with people with a range of disabilities respectfully and professionally, but isn't sure how.
Understanding the frequency and severity with which people with disability experience abuse and neglect is the first vital step in the challenge to prevent this crime.
This course is essential for anyone working with people with intellectual disability. We explore the myths and facts surrounding sexual assault and examine the reasons why men and women with intellectual disability experience much higher rates of sexual assault than people without disability.
Want to know more about the CRPD but are too afraid to ask? Then this training is for you! In this workshop we transform the complexities of the convention into easy to understand material.
People with Disability Australia training is also available as in-house training sessions.
Costs: Half day: $800+GST | Full day: $1500+GST
All training outside the Sydney metropolitan area will be subject to travel and accommodation costs. We are happy to discuss developing specific training for your organisation.

Please note: PWD reserves the right to alter course fees without prior notice. A 50% fee will be incurred if less than two weeks notice is given for withdrawal from a course. A refund of the course fee, less an administration fee of 10%, will apply if more than two weeks notice is given. Participants will be notifed if it is necessary for PWD to cancel a course.
